also, the last couple of days, when every time i've looked at LJ, they've made some minor change that annoys me, i've totally been wishing i were moving to dreamwidth. but in practice i'm exactly where you guys are (i.e. imported once, haven't updated or otherwise much used since). because i'm lazy. and because everyone else is either here or crossposting. but. um. maybe there's a snowball effect? there probably is. (i don't know what that means, re: should people move, though.)

aww, i don't dislike him, dude. i know i come off as a big meanie sometimes but like, i barely know the dude and i don't even read many interviews and stuff so hey, he could be the nicest guy in the world! (ahh i feel as if i've said this before! but i really mostly don't! i see him as like, a little RPF doll i can play with and you know, dickish behavior isn't necessarily a turn off for me, i was in the interpol fandom for years, and everyone can tell you at least half the band is entirely made out of dicks, and those were the ones in my otp!) i mean no i wish i'd liked the movie i was actually looking forward to it a lot? and i probably liked it more than i would have if milo wasn't in it so there's that.)

(it's really not as bad as pathology? like there were moments? i don't know it was just kind of like...i'm not sure why milo chose to do it except that it seems like it's just something he decided to do because the character wasn't peter petrelli. and like, milo! that is not a reason to choose to do a movie!

i think that there have been a lot of lj fails recently? with some sort of like, auto switching links to sponsored sites and stuff like the new buttons and such. three people on my friendslist switched over in the past day or so, which got me wondering? but we're most likely not going anywhere, all our friends are here! *clings*

Don't worry, I'm not that keen on watching his whole filmography anyway. And I agree with you that it seems like he did chose his last roles just to prove to the macho assholes in the world that he isn't Peter Petrelli. And as someone who loves Peter those films aren't that appealing to me. I'm starting to believe that you ( or was that Anansie's theory?) really have a point about him having become a little insecure about his manliness because of the male reaction to Peter - and I bet his friends are real dicks about it - and thus doing all this ridiculous stuff.

Ahh, I noticed the new ugly buttons yesterday but I haven't seen the other changes yet. There have been so many "Let's leave LJ and move to xy" movements over the past years but none my friends really went and the alternatives were never that appealing, so I'm here to stay as well. :) *clings back*

really, honestly omg that is NOT a way to build any kind of movie career. perhaps all the scripts he gets are peter-like characters, which happens i guess when you're so famous as Peter Petrelli, but there's a line between intensely-feeling-Peter and ultimate douchebag. the only thing i think he's been in recently where he's not an asshole is Armored? and in Armored he spends most of his screen-time gut shot and screaming. that is...not a role.)

Hee, yes. I mean, I honestly can understand wanting to show people you can do something completely different, and whilst I'm a bit cynical about the precise reasons for that (no, really *g*) I don't think it's entirely a bad thing. But the way he's gone about it, it just...feels a bit like he's trying too hard. Hopefully he will learn to find a happy medium?
